Are you looking for a reliable and efficient sight system to enhance your shooting experience? Look no further than the XS SIGHTS 3-Dot Tritium Night Sights! These sights are designed to fit Glock Gen 1-5 +MOS pistols, providing shooters unmatched accuracy even in low light conditions. Equipped with dual illuminated orange front sight and photoluminescent glow dot technology, these sights make it easy to acquire targets quickly and accurately. In this review, we’ll take a closer look at why the XS SIGHTS 3-Dot Tritium Night Sights are a must-have addition to any shooter’s arsenal.
What’s this “glow in the dark” tech?
Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that emits a faint greenish-white light, making it ideal for use in low-light or no-light conditions. The front sight of the XS Sights Tritium Night Sight is equipped with two tritium vials (one on each side) for maximum visibility in all lighting conditions. The rear sight also has two tritium vials, surrounded by an orange photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) ring. This orange color is more visible in low light than traditional white or yellow dots, making it easier to acquire your target.
Installation
The sights are easy to install and fit most Glock pistols. They come with an Allen wrench for adjusting the windage and elevation, as well as two sets of screws for mounting the sight to your slide.
Assuming you have a basic understanding of how to use tools and are somewhat familiar with firearms, installing XS Sights should be a breeze. Even still, it never hurts to have a little guidance. With that said, here is a quick and easy guide on how to install XS Sights onto your Glock Generation pistols (including the MOS models).
First, you will need to gather the necessary tools which are: a small flathead screwdriver, a front sight adjustment tool (or a non-marring punch), and either blue Loctite or nail polish. Begin by removing the factory sights. This is done by drift punching out the dovetail using the small flathead screwdriver until the sight pops out from the other side. If your firearm has MOS sights, there will be two screws holding them in place which will need to be removed as well.
With the old sights out of the way, apply a small amount of Loctite or nail polish to the set screw threads on the bottom of each sight (this is optional but recommended). Then align the new front sight into place making sure that it is tight against the slide and flush with the top of the slide.
For MOS models, once everything is aligned correctly, simply tighten down.
