Installing the XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot Sight
- Remove the rear sight from your Glock using a sight pusher (if you don’t have one, you can find them at most gun stores or online).
- With the rear sight removed, look at the front of the slide to see how the existing night sight is mounted. The DXT2 Big Dot will replace this front sight.
- First, to install the DXT2 Big Dot, remove the old front sight by pushing it out from the inside of the slide using a drift punch or other blunt object. Then, insert the new sight into the dovetail on the front of the slide and tap it into place using a mallet or other soft-faced hammer. Be careful not to over-tighten or damage the new sight.
- Once the new sight is installed, re-assemble your Glock and test it at the range! You should notice an improvement in accuracy and speed with the new dot size and placement.
Tips for Using the XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot Sight
Once the sights are aligned, focusing on the front sight when firing is essential. The front sight should be in focus, and the target should be blurred. This will help you to aim your shots better. It is also important to practice using the sights so that you become familiar with them. The more you use them, the better you will become at using them in a real-world situation.
